Our Shipping Approach
Brickanuck ships rental sets and products across Canada using reliable, tracked shipping services. All orders are packed in standardized Brickanuck shipping boxes designed to protect the contents during transit and ensure a consistent rental experience.
Nationwide Coverage
Brickanuck supports Canadian by partnering primarily with Canada Post -- a carrier recognized for its nationwide delivery reach. This partnership enables shipping to every mailable address in Canada. Secondary courier options are maintained to ensure continuity and minimize operational impact in the event of postal disruptions.
Tracking & Notifications
Every shipment includes a carrier‑issued tracking number. Customers may also receive direct notifications from the carrier as the package moves through the delivery network, providing full visibility from dispatch to delivery.
Flat‑Rate Shipping (Canada‑Wide)
A standardized Canada-wide flat‑rate shipping fee applies to all rental set groups. This flat rate is charged at checkout and covers both outbound and return shipment for Groups 1 through 5, as well as the baseline portion of Group 6 shipments. All return shipments use a convenient and easy Canada Post prepaid return program, or return label provided by Brickanuck.
Group 6 Rental Set Shipping Surcharges
Group 6 rentals consist of high‑value, oversized, or specialty sets requiring enhanced packaging, handling, and/or insured transport. At checkout, the standard flat-rate shipping fee is applied to all Group 6 rentals as a baseline charge.
Following checkout, we will calculate the actual shipping cost for the Group 6 rental based on the delivery address, carrier requirements, dimensional weight, and/or insurance obligations. If the actual shipping cost exceeds the flat‑rate fee, we will issue an updated invoice reflecting the difference between the actual shipping cost and the flat rate already paid.
Customers must review, confirm and pay the updated invoice prior to dispatch. Failure to confirm or remit shipping surcharges may result in shipment delays or cancellation of the order.
Processing
We do our best to confirm orders within 24–48 hours once a reservation is paid. Confirmation includes verification of rental details, availability, and any applicable shipping considerations.
Scheduled‑Start & Dispatch Times
Reservations with future start dates may be held and scheduled to dispatch at a later date according to the carrier’s reasonable expected transit time.
Dispatch is calculated as: Scheduled Start Date minus (Estimated Transit Time + 1 day). This means we dispatch shipments only one day earlier than the carrier’s expected travel time. This ensures timely delivery without premature arrival.
For example: If a rental is set to only begin in 14 days and the carrier’s estimated transit time is 3 days, we will only dispatch the shipment 4 days prior (est. 3 ship days + 1 day) to the scheduled start date.
This dispatch methodology is specifically designed to prevent early delivery and minimize automatic rental‑period adjustments. Early delivery may shift the rental period to the left, shorten the customer’s intended usage window, or create unintended surcharges. By dispatching according to the formula above, we maximize the chances that the rental periods align with the customer’s planned start and end dates.
Brickanuck reserves the right to adjust dispatch timing based on carrier performance, regional transit variability, and operational requirements.
Delivery Times
Delivery timelines depend on the customer’s location and carrier performance. Most orders arrive within 2–7 business days, with additional time required for remote or air‑stage locations.
Rental Period & Shipping Delays
The rental period begins only when the shipping carrier marks the package as delivered. The carrier’s delivery timestamp serves as the official start date of the rental.
If shipping delays occur and the package arrives later than the scheduled start date, we will automatically adjust the rental period and associated invoice. Rental fees apply solely from the date of delivery.
Example: If a rental is scheduled to begin on the 1st but the carrier delivers on the 5th, the rental period will be shifted by four days, and the end date will be adjusted accordingly.
Failed Delivery Attempts
If the carrier attempts delivery and the package is held for pickup, at a drop-off location, or otherwise not physically in the customer's possession, the rental period begins on the carrier’s recorded delivery status, regardless of the package being physically picked up.
Our only reliable source of transit information is the carrier's official system notices. We adopt this approach to ensure rental periods remain aligned with carrier‑verified delivery activity and prevents disputes related to unclaimed packages.
Standard Rental Duration & Rental Adjustments:
Brickanuck monitors all carrier delivery updates and applies rental adjustments automatically when applicable. No customer action is required.
- Unless otherwise specified in the reservation, the default rental period is 30 days.
- Reservations shorter than 30 days will be automatically extended to the full 30‑day period at no additional cost.
- Reservations longer than 30 days (e.g., 60‑day rentals) will retain their full duration even when adjustments are required.
If a rental period has been adjusted for any reason, we will send a confirmation email with the new rental dates.
Refused Deliveries
Refusal of delivery does not pause, delay, or extend any rental period for future reservations.
If a customer refuses delivery for any reason, and the package is returned to us, the order will be cancelled and refunded minus all shipping costs already incurred. Shipping fees are non‑refundable once a shipment has been tendered to the carrier.
Return Shipping Requirements
Customers must return rental sets using the original box and packaging materials when possible.
All returns must be initiated on the rental period end date. “Initiated” means the rental set must be physically dropped off with the designated return carrier on or before the final day of the rental period. The set does not need to be received by Brickanuck on that date. Carrier transit time following drop‑off is not counted toward rental fees.
Customers are solely responsible for retaining proof of drop‑off (e.g., carrier receipt or tracking scan).
For example: If a rental period ends on the 29th, and shipping travel time is estimated at 5 days, the customer is only required to drop the set off with the carrier on or before the 29th. No additional rental fees or surcharges apply for carrier transit time.
We kindly ask customers to forward any return‑shipment tracking numbers when available. Tracking information allows us to monitor the return shipment more effectively and ensure accurate invoicing.
Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Shipments
Customers must notify Brickanuck promptly via email at [email protected] if a shipment is delayed, lost, or arrives damaged. We will coordinate with the carrier to investigate and resolve the issue and ensure appropriate customer support.
Incorrect Address or Delivery Issues
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete shipping information. Orders returned due to incorrect or incomplete addresses may incur additional shipping fees for reshipment.
Shipping Restrictions
Brickanuck ships within Canada only. Shipments cannot be sent to P.O. boxes in remote regions where carriers cannot guarantee safe delivery.
